1. Main Product Types and Applicable Working Conditions

The product portfolio of cleaning pigs from Shenyang Wensheng covers three categories: general standard models, special-function models and self-developed patented products. They can fully meet full-scenario operation demands of pipeline cleaning & descaling, medium separation, welding slag adsorption and pipeline inspection. With mature structures and strong adaptability to complex working conditions, these products have been supplied in bulk to PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, urban gas networks, municipal water supply pipelines and other industries.

1.1 Ochiistительный шар для трубопровода / The cleaning pig – Rubber pig

The rubber pig is integrally molded with inflatable hollow neoprene and equipped with dedicated pressure-bearing water/gas filling cavities. It can achieve a standardized pipeline interference of 4%~8%, matching inflatable tooling for all calibers from DN50 to DN1400. The wall thickness of the pig ball ranges from 12mm to 35mm, with pressure resistance ≥12MPa and outstanding anti-aging performance, supporting over 80 circulation cleaning operations.

It is divided into three structural variants for different operation demands:

1. Standard smooth rubber pig: Fits standard elbows, tees and valve orifices with R≥1.5DN. It produces no hard scratching and effectively protects anti-corrosion coatings on inner pipeline walls.

2. Wear-resistant protruding rubber pig: Uniform polyurethane wear-resistant bumps distributed on the sphere to gently remove loose rust and sludge inside pipelines.

3. Split two-piece rubber pig: Special design for pipelines above DN600, enabling quick on-site maintenance and replacement of internal sealing cores.

This product is mainly applied to pipeline drainage after commissioning, free water separation in natural gas trunks, medium separation and replacement of refined oil products, and sludge removal of municipal water supply pipelines. It normally fits small and medium pipelines DN50~DN600 (1”~24”), and thickened pressure-bearing spheres can be customized for large-caliber working conditions.

1.2 Polyurethane foam pig / Полиуретановый пенный пиг для трубопровода

The polyurethane foam pig adopts an integrated bullet-shaped foaming structure with a total length equal to 1.5~2 times the pipeline inner diameter. It delivers excellent trafficability; factory test data shows its minimum passing curvature reaches R≥1.0DN, allowing smooth passage through pipelines with slight deformation within 20%, short-radius elbows and reduced-diameter weld sections. The product includes four standard density grades plus two upgraded variants with wear-resistant coating and steel brush composite coating to fit diversified cleaning scenarios.

· Low-density foam pig (20~35kg/m³): Soft texture, used for pipeline drying, pressure test purging and light floating slag removal without damaging epoxy inner wall coatings.

· Medium-density foam pig (40~60kg/m³): Universal choice for commissioning sweeping of long-distance oil & gas pipelines, condensate removal and preliminary routine pigging.

· High-density foam pig (70~90kg/m³): Higher hardness for stripping loose sediment and light iron sulfide scale, with a single maximum operation distance ≤50km.

· Wear-resistant coated foam pig: Covered with a 1.2mm thick wear-resistant PU film on the surface, tripling wear service life, suitable for gathering pipelines with abundant sand impurities.

· Steel brush composite foam pig / Полиуретановый скребок со стальной щёткой: Fitted with 304 stainless steel annular steel brushes at the front end for mild rust removal and thin paraffin stripping, widely used in pressure test pigging of newly built oilfield gathering pipelines.

1.3 Polyurethane cup pig / Полиуретановый чашеобразный пиг для трубопровода

The polyurethane cup pig is built on rigid welded carbon steel / stainless steel frames with robust and durable structures. It is standardly equipped with 1~4 integrally molded polyurethane cups with controllable cup interference of 5%~7%. Adopting detachable modular design, it supports bidirectional travel. Modular accessories including annular steel brushes, stainless steel gauge plates, low-frequency electronic transmitters, paraffin scrapers and guide support wheels can be configured on demand to adapt to high-pressure, long-distance and high-impurity complex pipelines.

Four mainstream sub-models are available:

1. Single-cup simple type: For short-distance station branch lines and medium separation operations.

2. Double-cup general type: Routine pigging for urban gas and short-distance refined oil pipelines.

3. Triple / quadruple cup heavy-duty type: For long-distance crude oil and high-impurity gathering trunks, with over 93% sealing and scraping efficiency against pipeline inner walls.

4. Support wheel polyurethane cup pig / Support for the pig: Built-in wear-resistant guide wheels to drastically reduce cup abrasion, specially designed for mountain pipelines with large elevation drops, with a single continuous operation distance up to 300km.

This product is widely used for high-pressure long-distance crude oil, refined oil, sand-bearing gathering pipelines and high-water-cut gas export pipelines.

1.4 Polyurethane disc pig / Полиуретановый плоский пиг для трубопровода

The polyurethane disc pig is assembled by segmented spaced sets of polyurethane sealing discs and guide discs with independent spacer positioning structures. Its elbow passing performance surpasses traditional multi-cup pigs, especially suitable for complex plant pipe networks with variable diameters and dense elbows. The tail reserves installation positions for positioning transmitters, paired with external tracking receivers to realize real-time full-process operation tracking. DN450WS intelligent disc model is kept in regular stock.

Three specifications are available: 2-disc, 3-disc and 4-disc heavy-duty versions. Micro steel brush modules can be added based on pipeline impurity conditions to target dust and thin oil sludge. It is mainly applied to intricate process pipe networks in refineries, multi-branch municipal water supply pipelines and thin scale & dust cleaning of renovated variable-diameter old pipelines.

1.5 Elastic scraper pig

The elastic scraper pig is optimized based on conventional cup pig frames. Arc elastic polyurethane scrapers with Shore 95A hardness are installed between cups, dedicated for waxy crude oil pipelines. Two structures are provided: double-layer scrapers and triple-layer heavy-duty scrapers, matched with front buffer anti-jam heads to effectively prevent wax accumulation and blockages, and strip solid paraffin layers formed on inner walls under low-temperature winter conditions.

Applicable to low-temperature gathering oil pipelines, intermittent delivery branches and high-pour-point crude oil export pipelines in northern oilfields. Field test data shows a single pigging run can fully remove 2~8mm thick paraffin layers, cutting pipeline flow resistance by 22%~35% and greatly boosting crude oil transportation efficiency.

1.6 Magnetic cleaning pig / Магнитный очистной снаряд из полиуретана (Model WS-C magnetic adsorption type)

Model WS-C magnetic cleaning pig is dedicated for precision chemical pipelines. High-strength permanent magnet modules are hermetically encapsulated inside the steel frame with magnetic adsorption force ≥12000Gs, fully capturing iron filings, welding slag, corroded metal debris and other hard impurities inside pipelines. Integrated high-precision electronic positioning modules coordinate with self-developed handheld tracking receivers to track the pig’s entire running path, eliminating residual metal debris and protecting precision sealing surfaces of matched pumps and valves. It is used for precision refinery process pipelines, food fluid transfer pipelines, clean pipelines upstream of compressors and welding slag removal after pressure testing of newly built pipelines.

1.7 Self-developed Patented Mainstream Products

Leveraging independent R&D strengths, Shenyang Wensheng has developed multiple patented cleaning pigs to fill solutions for complex working conditions, offering exclusive construction schemes for special pipelines and forming core competitive advantages for project bidding.

1. Diameter Changes Pig: Multi-section elastic telescopic sealing structure adapting to 10%~25% pipeline inner diameter variation, tolerating wall thickness differences, weld protrusions and local diameter reduction between new and old pipelines. It combines pipeline cleaning and medium separation functions, widely used in renovated municipal gas and water supply pipelines.

2. Gel separation pig: Composite frame of high-molecular elastic gel and polyurethane without hard edges, avoiding damage to pipeline anti-corrosion coatings. It separates and replaces different oil products, gas and liquid media for batch delivery refined oil pipelines, and has been supplied in bulk to sequential transportation projects of PetroChina and Sinopec.

3. Intelligent gauge pig / Полиуретановый пиг с измерением диаметра для трубопровода: Built on cup / disc pig bodies with integrated aluminum gauge plates and long-life electronic transmitters with continuous operation ≥200 hours. It completes pipeline geometric deformation inspection simultaneously with pigging, eliminating separate gauge pig runs and efficiently performing baseline integrity detection for long-distance pipelines. It has been successfully delivered to CNOOC Liuhua Oilfield development projects.

4. Bidirectional running pig: Lightweight short frame with symmetrical front and rear sealing structures supporting bidirectional launching & receiving, fitting compact offshore platforms and small station The Pig Launchers / The Pig Receivers (Стартовая камера очистного устройства / приёмный пункт для очистных устройств). It is the designated supply model for Chinese naval pipeline renovation projects, with DN80~DN300 kept in standard stock for fast delivery.
